Mahnaz Afshar to costar with ‘Oshin’ starlet

Iran actress Mahnaz Afshar is set to costar with ‘Oshin’ starlet Ayako Kobayashi in a new film project titled ‘New Moon Hotel’ .    

‘New Moon Hotel’ is to be a joint film production between Iran and Japan.

The screenplay to the flick has been penned by Naghmeh Samini and the pre-production stage will kick off right after the permission is received.

‘New Moon Hotel’ bears a social theme with further plot details not revealed yet.  

Mahnaz Afshar and Ayako Kobayashi are the actresses whose presence in the movie has been confirmed.

Kobayashi played the childhood of Oshin between 6-10 years old.

‘Oshin’ is a Japanese morning television drama which has aired in 68 other countries, including Iran. It enjoyed a high popularity when broadcast in Asian countries.
